I was never as happy to be wet as I am shown here. The Olympic Peninsula was basking in unusually nice weather for mid-September and everyone was glad - except me. Colorado enjoys 300+ days of sunshine per year, and I was there to get out of the sunshine and into the wet. Praying for mist in the rain forests and the exploding color that accompanies those damp, overcast Northwestern days finally paid off on our visit to the Sol Duc river.
