Aaron Hequembourg received his formal training in printmaking but could not afford a press, so he began to produce engraved paintings on wood panels. He met his wife and moved to a 200 year old Georgia plantation. He began to salvage materials to produce his engraved assemblages. Over the past 4-5 years he's been using people in his community as subjects, sharing a percentage of each sale with the subject. His life changed his work, and now his work is changing his life and theirs.
