For years I have driven by this perfectly fine home on Timberline Road. Recently I'd noticed no cars in the driveway, no activity in the home what so ever. Very recently I'd noticed increased building activity adjacent to the lot this home sits on. Then just the other day I saw a back hoe sitting in the driveway; I noticed the cliffed dirt scraped away at the houses foundation - and I knew the end was near.
There was something murderous about it: the death of this home, swallowed by "progress and development" that made me sad for it. This photograph was made late one Saturday afternoon beneath cold, rainy skies. The following Monday it had been destroyed.
