Frontier Station, Walden, North Park, Colorado (2015)
North Park has become one of my favorite places to wander, explore and photograph. It remains "old Colorado" and I like that very much. Mile after mile of open range - some fenced, some not - separate neighbors geographically, but not socially. After a dreary day of rain and overcast skies, as often is the case, the clouds part briefly towards evening and the magic begins. Dark skies and well-lit foregrounds are conditions I intentionally seek out.
Portra 160's natural color rendition faithfully reproduces the mood of the scene with no need to embellish. I'm very much at peace wandering North Park.
