Welcome. Every day something happens in the state I'm blessed to call home: Colorado.
Without a camera to record, they fade anonymously with the certainty of each day's dusk. This gallery is my attempt to freeze, to remember some of these moment-and share a slice of this magnificent state with those unable to visit in person.
Persistently updated to keep it fresh, It's an exercise in the mechanical aspects of photography: learning the cameras, characteristics of a film, particular sensor, sweet spot of a lens, etc. And of course the aesthetic aspects-composition, exposure, and the all-important light. It also attempts to explore the intangibles-emotion, the moment, feeling- things I cumulatively refer to as, "The X-Factor."
